For Marvel Comics, he is the co-creator, with Steve Ditko, of the fan-favorite Squirrel Girl. ![]() Will Murray, a North Quincy High graduate, is the author of scores of novels and short stories, featuring such classic pulp fiction stalwarts as Doc Savage, King Kong, Tarzan, and the Phantom. This event is open to all and free to attend. During the course of their friendship, Lovecraft visited the Coles in Quincy on a number of occasions, and the couple brought Lovecraft on many outings around Massachusetts - some of which may have had an influence on Lovecraft's fiction. He and his wife were some of the few to attend Lovecraft's funeral. However, Quincy resident and teacher, Edward H. A life-long recluse and misanthrope, Lovecraft had done little in life to attract friends, and his short stories had not yet obtained the cult following that they have today.
